Kalin Zahariev – member of NIS of MGERB, Joanna Dochevska – coordinator of MGERB Sofia and Milen Nikolov – coordinator of Kyustendil answered the question “Why the young people should vote on the elections for the EU parliament?” The representatives of MGERB talked about the MGERB’s initiatives about raising desire into people for joining the organization and participation in politics and vote practice, yet they talked about the today youth interests and their only defender and “taken-care-for” party – PP GERB.
The members of MGERB showed criticism for their opponents about the low-financing side of the campaign for the information about the EU parliament vote in 2007 and the same in 2009; the law-in-progress from the MS about limiting the rights for remonstrance; the “wrong-timed experiments” with the election law and more.
In the debate which took place in Grand Hotel Sofia there were representatives from important political parties and their young members – DPS, ATAKA, DSB, PP “Zemevladelci”, PP “Zelenite” and PD “Socialdemokrati”. Speeches and comments were made by Rumqna Kolarova – political writer, the lecturer of the cathedra for “EU” in Sofia University - Neli Ognqnova and lecturer from New Bulgarian University – Antonii Gulubov. Representative from BSP was welcomed but he declined the offer and stayed away from the debate.
