Let’s celebrate together Europe Day – 9 May!

09/05/09

More than thousand o
f young people from the whole country celebrated together the Europe Day in the city garden in front of the National theatre ‘Ivan Vazov’ in Sofia, organized by the youth of the party under the aegis of the GERB members of the EP.

The leader of PP
GERB Boyko Borisov, the chairman of the party Tsvetan Tsvetanov, MePs from GERB attended the festivity on the Europe Day – 9 May, organized by MGERB Sofia.
The leader of the party Boyko Borisov said to the people that the presence of people from the Bundestag, from ‘Konrad Adenauer’ Foundation,
the fact that they didn’t miss any event of GERB was a guarantee that the two biggest parties in Germany would not allow GERB to fail. ‘Be optimistic, be calm. ‘If we make a mistake, they will correct us and Bulgaria will go ahead. They need a strong Bulgaria, not a last in Europe on incomes and first on corruption. This is a big black hole in Europe. They will help us and we will realize everything that Europe expects from us – a strong, stable and predictable Bulgaria’ said the leader of GERB.

The chairman of the party Tsvetan
Tsvetanov said: ‘You are the people that we rely on in the forthcoming elections because we want to celebrate the Europe Day with much more better results, with more respect from Europe. To be respected by Europe, we should prove that we are able to cope with problems – Bulgaria can cope with corruption, can build highways but it must have a government which can bear the political responsibility and there isn’t other alternative out of GERB’, Tsvetanov told the young people from GERB.

‘You’ll get Bulgaria into the correct direction, you’ll make a really prosperous European country, a country that will speak in a loud voice in the
European parliament together with all other member states’, Rumyana Jeleva added.

In the sky of Sofia were released 500 balloons – symbol of the 500 million
Europeans who celebrate the Europe day. After that representatives of MGERB, who were divided in different teams, participated in two games: ‘Enigma for Europe’ in which they answered questions about Europe and ‘Trip in Europe’ in which they performed songs and dances from the EU member states. During that whole time there were given cards with information about the work of the GERB members of the EP and others explaining why to vote in the European parliament elections.
