A representative of MGERB took part in the second module of the Regional Program of the Bulgarian School of Politics

The second module of the Regional Program of the Bulgarian School of Politics for 2009/2010 was held from the 24th of March until the 28th of March 2010 in Sarajevo. The title of the module was “Challenges in front of the participation of young people in politics for the youth on the Balkans: good practices and lessons, which need to be learned by us”. Thirty-two people participated from Bulgaria, Croatia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Serbia and Montenegro. Among the participants were representatives of the youth organisations of the major political parties in their corresponding countries, as well as representative of media and non-government organisations. MGERB was represented by Deyan Nikolov – Member of MGERB Sofia.


The course included lections on different topics, connected with the participation of young people in politics, on regional and local level, as well as national level. The lecturers were experts from the private and government sector, as well as representatives of non-government organisations from the Balkans.

During the seminar the participants had an official meeting with Mr. Gavrilo Grahovac - Federal Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Culture and Sports of Bosnia and Herzegovina. During which he introduced the policies of the young people, the problems and their solutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the whole course of the training the focus was on working in small groups (simulation games), which were connected with solving cases, regarding different problems of the countries on the Balkan Peninsula. In the end of the course the participants gave their ideas connected with the Day of the Balkans, which will take place during the last module in Sofia from the 10th of June till the 14th of June 2010.
